Executive Profile

Eric is a Partner on the Midwest team of SeatonHill. Mr. Loges is a global, results-oriented CFO with over 30 years of experience accelerating financial performance and strategic growth for multinational mid-size manufacturing organizations. He has expertise in leading finance transformations, optimizing operations, and delivering significant ROI, particularly within complex M&A environments. Eric has an international perspective honed through his experience in multiple countries and fluency in four languages, enabling a deep understanding of diverse business and cultural nuances for enhanced, tangible results.

Key Experience

Specialty Steel Company: As CFO BU, Eric was responsible for 20+ teams with entities for 4 plants in North America (~800 employees). He was also the BU compliance and risk management officer. Eric led the turnaround of loss, making the business (prior to Covid) into healthy positive territory through the use of customer profitability segmentation, analytical tools, and cost optimizations. He generated over $20M in cash via improved credit and overdue management, and enhanced asset-based financing. Eric achieved cash flow forecast process improvements, which led to higher forecast accuracy. He rebuilt a more process and performancedriven finance and accounting team, improving liquidity forecasting, results analytics, and performance forward planning. Eric coordinated business divestiture, including leading various due diligences. 


Food Ingredients & Pharma Excipients Manufacturing Company: As President Americas, Eric reported to the Group CEO and coordinated functions and countries in the Americas (1,000+ employees) of a matrix organization. His additional activities included human capital development, M&A pre-closing and integration, and roll-out of corporate initiatives for business transformation, governance of board activities, and community project management. Eric led the successful integration of two key acquisitions with 400+ employees in the Americas. He restored pride to work in US operations after workforce reduction by leading employee/community-focused actions and enhancing work conditions, enabling 3% improvement in employee turnover. Eric rolled out business transformation initiatives for corporate functions, driving productivity gains and upgraded compliance. As US Corn Refiners Association Director of the Board, he contributed to strategic direction in support of the company’s commodity business. As CFO Americas, Eric managed 4 country CFOs responsible for 50+ teams. His oversight included statutory accounting and financial analysis, including forecasting/budgeting/planning, taxes, AP/AR, risk management, and insurance. Eric set up a novel process with a poor-credit-rated client to generate a new $1M+/year margin, minimizing risk. He also set up Mexico Americas Shared Service Center for transactional activities, generating $0.5+M savings. Eric drove $13M US balance sheet clean-up and rebuilt the US finance team to be a more process/results-driven organization, reducing closing by 4 days and culminating with the US operations’ return to profitability. He rolled out the business transformation and Blackline tool, improving the accuracy of financials. 


Agricultural Sciences Company: As Director of Global Finance Transformation, Eric was on a high-visibility global finance transformation project with the support of a consulting firm, with project management and accountability on specific initiatives. He set up an offshore US & EU Travel & Expense Shared Service Center with enhanced/traceable processes and controls. Eric increased the audit rate from 4 to 100% while reducing operating costs by over 30%. He led a successful Mexico finance team integration (32 people) following a large global acquisition. Eric achieved headcount synergies of 7 and led planning initiatives to prepare company split. He was also the Project Management Office Lead for various other Global Finance transformation initiatives. As International Controller, Eurasia, Eric was responsible for a team of 60+ employees in 9 countries. He had oversight of statutory accounting, financial analysis, including forecasting/ budgeting/planning, third-party accounting, and Treasury, for this $400+M crop protection business sales in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Eric led the successful integration of an acquisition in Europe (50+ employees), resulting in $1+M reduction of tolling fees and sourcing costs. He drove the revamping of sales and costs analytical tools, greatly enhancing business performance measurement and forecast accuracy with reduced cycle time to generate analysis. Eric also supported the analysis to launch direct sales in the Philippines, generating $1M incremental EBIT.
