Executive Profile
John is a Partner on the Southeast team of SeatonHill. Mr. Corrigan is a senior operations and financial executive with exceptional analytical, communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills and entrepreneurial instincts. He has demonstrated success as a leader with expertise in numerous industries, including electronics recycling, internet services, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, retail, construction, and medical services, as well as at various stages of development, from start-up to $500 million in revenue. John also has significant experience as a Big 4 auditor, tax adviser, and business consultant, as well as progressive C-Level financial and operational roles.
Key Experience
West Coast Electronics Recycling Company: John was the Interim CFO for a West Coast-based Electronics Recycling Company acquired by a PE firm in February 2025. John led the purchase accounting process, prepared the Closing Statement and Net Working Capital True Up Analysis, updated and organized inventory, resulting in a cleaner presentation of inventory value, created a monthly sponsor/lender quality financial package, established a formal process for accounting and revenue recognition for unbilled shipments (which allowed for unbilled revenue to be included in the Company’s borrowing base), created debt compliance reporting, established the 13-week cash flow forecasting process, led the Opening Balance Sheet and year-end audit process, created the finance content for the Company’s first three Monthly Management Meetings and initial Quarterly Board meeting and documented procedures and account analyses for the incoming permanent CFO which resulted in a seamless transition of CFO responsibilities.
Professional Services Company: John was a Consulting CFO for this Advisory Service Firm dedicated to improving the accounting and finance operations of private equity-owned portfolio companies. He led the integration of seven private equity-acquired companies, including an equipment rental & refurbishment business (sporting equipment), a tubular steel distributor, a garage door distributor, a parks and recreation equipment distributor, an executive security company, a radiology practice, and a designer/ manufacturer of ultra-precision coil processing and handling systems. John completed all transaction-related accounting analysis, budgeting, deferred revenue and percentage of completion accounting, cash forecasting, and monthly financial reporting to private equity sponsors and lenders. He also established processes and tools to reduce overall reporting time.
PE-Owned Footwear Accessory Manufacturer: John served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for this $30 million revenue sock and footwear accessory manufacturer (producing premium sports and novelty products as two companies). He led all accounting, financial reporting, administrative, treasury, legal, risk management, human resources, information technology, tax, M&A, and investor relations functions. John also advised on E-Commerce, licensing, sales and marketing, operations, and product development for both entities.
PE-Owned Consumer Goods Distributor: John served as Chief Financial Officer for this distributor of various consumer goods, including stationery, home décor, and seasonal holiday items (before being acquired by a strategic investor, it was a portfolio company of a private equity firm). John led all accounting, administrative, treasury, legal, IT, risk management, human resources, tax, and investor relations functions. He also led the due diligence process in conjunction with the Company’s merger and led the integration of their operations.
Telecommunications and Cloud Services Company: John served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for this startup telecommunications and cloud services company serving enterprise customers in Chicago. He founded the company and raised over $1 million in angel funding. John developed and managed all accounting, billing, administrative, treasury, legal, risk management, human resources, tax, and investor relations functions since inception.
