Shyamal Parikh is a Partner in the Dallas office of SeatonHill. Mr. Parikh is a highly accomplished financial executive with a strong history of directing fiscal activities in organizations from start-up to $16B in revenue. He has experience in Private Equity, Private and Publicly held companies in a variety of positions. Shyamal is adept at implementing strategies, improving efficiency, M&A, and data analytics with a solid track record in problem solving and implementing effective solutions to achieve desired results. He has extensive international experience and currently sits on the board of a Credit Union.
Key Experience
Med Tech Company: As CFO, Shyamal completed an IPO readiness and assessment for this Health Care start-up. He also completed a PCAOB quality audit for 2 years. Shyamal implemented a new ERP system.
Wine and Spirits Distributor: As Senior Vice President of the nation’s largest wine and spirits distributor, Shyamal was involved in successfully implementing SAP company-wide. He reduced close cycle time by 10 days, resulting in accounting department cost savings of over $500K per year. Shyamal also created an inside sales department for small customers, reducing sales costs by over $1M annually. He eliminated unprofitable suppliers, improving profits by over $500K per year. Shyamal was a member of integration team that successfully merged two companies to create a $16B company.
Electronic Display Modules Company: As CFO of this $75M Private Equity held firm, Shyamal helped transition the company from commodity LCD modules to higher value added multi-touch panels. He also reduced manufacturing costs in Chinese factory by over $1M annually.
Publicly Traded Home Building Company: As CFO of a subsidiary of this $15B public company, Shyamal successfully grew the company from $75M in 2004 to $130M in 2010. He completed 7 acquisitions and was instrumental in selling the company in 2008.
Publicly Traded Semiconductor Company: As Vice President FP&A, Shyamal ran planning and analysis function during the worst recession in the semiconductor industry. He developed sophisticated tools to ensure costs were in line with revenue and that market expectations were met (unlike competition, no significant asset write-offs or write-downs). Shyamal was instrumental in the implementation of SAP in 35 countries simultaneously. He also designed and implemented a shared services organization, reducing accounting transactions costs by over $1M annually. Shyamal lead a team that achieved $5M in cost and productivity improvements, increasing the competitiveness of their Philippines facility.
